This Weekend In Parks

St. Nicholas Day
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care for St. Nicholas Day! Come celebrate a visit from St. Nicholas at the Bronx’s Van Cortlandt House Museum or at Brooklyn’s Wyckoff Farmhouse Museum on Saturday, December 4. There will be refreshments, crafts, and (if you’re nice, not naughty), maybe even a visit from St. Nick!
Sit Volleyball Clinic
The New York City Department of Parks & Recreation is partnering with U.S. Paralympics, a division of the U.S. Olympic Committee, to offer a new sports clinic for individuals with physical disabilities. Activities are provided free of charge! Eligible participants include teens & young adults with spinal cord injuries, spina bifida, cerebral palsy or traumatic brain injury, stroke survivors, amputees, or persons with other physical disabilities. To register for the Sit Volleyball clinic, which will be held this Saturday from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Lost Battalion Hall Recreation Center in Queens, fill out the online form, send an email to accessibility@parks.nyc.gov or call 311.
