Bounded by Grand, Rodney, and South 3rd Streets, this playground is located directly between two other playgrounds, Rodney Playground North and Rodney Playground South, that take their names from Rodney Street. As a matter of fact, three other parklands along the thoroughfare are also named in this manner: Rodney Park North, Rodney Park Center, and Rodney Park South. Rodney Street, in turn, honors American patriot and statesman, Caesar Rodney (1728-1784).
