Astoria Park

Join us on Saturday, May 5th from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for a Music and Performance Festival and help us win a grant to restore the landmarked Astoria Pool Olympic High Dive of the future Astoria Performance Center!

The high dive has been selected as one of 40 projects eligible for a “Partners in Preservation” grant from the National Trust for Historic Preservation and American Express. We need your help to win!

Activities include:

• Live Music by Queens rock bands Iskandar and Dr. Jin
• Hip to Hip Theatre Company
• Astoria Performing Arts Center
• Facepainting
• Storytelling
• Arts & Crafts
• Inflatable Kids Activities

Featuring performances by the Hip to Hip Theater Production, the Astoria Performing Arts Center, and Council Member Peter F. Vallone Jr.

Please show your support for the Astoria Pool Olympic High Dive by voting for the project at the Partners in Preservation website or Facebook page. The top 3 projects win grants to complete restoration. You can even vote once a day until the end of the competition on May 21, 2012. So please vote early, and vote often!
