Manhattan

Originally built in 1939, this 57-acre park is the largest park south of 59th Street. The construction project, funded by Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, costs nearly $80 million and includes the replacement of deteriorating seawall, as well as construction of a new esplanade with a railing, benches, and trees.
