Check-in from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Rounds at 11:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Bring Chess Sets and Clocks if you own them.
Also featuring Grand Master Speed Chess Match at 10:00 a.m. The Grand Master will play with challengers throughout the day. There will also be chess puzzles for kids. Chess sets, Trophies, Medals, and other prizes to be awarded following the last round!

Thousands of New Yorkers will head to Freshkills Park to enjoy many activities that will be available in the park over the next 25 years from biking trails to kayaking to public art and more!
Celebrate the future of NYC parks at Freshkills Park’s 3rd annual Sneak Peak. The former landfill on Staten Island’s western shore is being transformed into the City’s largest park but is not yet open to the public. Don’t miss this special opportunity to get a first look!
This year’s event offers nearly three miles of walking paths and more than two miles for those who bring bikes to explore the park’s peaks. Check out kayak tours, numerous public artworks and performances, food trucks, a local artisan craft market, and pony rides for the kids. There will be continuous shuttle bus service to and from the St. George Ferry Terminal. New York Water Taxi is also providing a free ride to Freshkills Park from Battery Park/Slip 6 at 12:30 p.m. and a return trip to the Battery from the Park at 2:30 p.m.
