Charlie Parker Jazz Festival
The Charlie Parker Jazz Festival annually assembles some of the finest musicians in the world who reflect Parker’s musical individuality and genius, to promote appreciation for this highly influential and world-renowned artist.

In celebration of the 20th anniversary, City Parks Foundation will be presenting a variety of events, panels, and workshops leading up to the weekend festival that will help celebrate the legacy of Charlie Parker and further illuminate jazz in a diverse way.

Parks Afterschool Program
Registration for the free Parks Afterschool Program has begun! At Parks Afterschool, your child can enjoy a wide range of structured activities. Our trained, caring staff create safe, supportive environments for the children that attend our program. Our program complements what children are learning in school and strengthens their sense of belonging in the communities in which they live.

8th Annual Afropunk Festival
The Afropunk Festival is returning to Brooklyn’s Commodore Barry Park for the 8th Annual Afropunk Festival on August 25-26.Check out the skating and BMX riding competition, and the two days of terrific and diverse free music.
