Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival
On Saturday, August 4 and Sunday, August 5, Meadow Lake at Flushing Meadows Corona Park will host one of the largest boating festivals in the city! With over 170 teams and 2,000+ participants competing from around the world, this year we celebrate the "Year of the Rabbit." This much anticipated, world-class, multi-cultural event features two exciting days of Dragon Boat racing, wonderful performances, and an ethnic food court.

Inwood Hill Park Recycling Olympics
Sunday, August 5, 2012

Join NYC Parks, GrowNYC, and the City’s Green Mascot, Birdie, at Dyckman Fields to learn about how to keep your local parks clean and green. The Recycling Olympics are a handful of games that kids aged 7-14 can play to learn about recycling, conservation, and teamwork in a fun and healthy way. Giveaways and information will be available for park users of all ages. Look for the NYC Parks tent just inside Dyckman Fields on the South Lawn.
