MillionTreesNYC Spring Planting Events 2014
Planting Trees. The first step to a healthy urban forest.
Seven years ago, the city launched the MillionTreesNYC initiative with an ambitious goal: to plant and care for one million new trees across the city. The benefits to be gained were clear: improved air and water quality; reduced pollution from storm water runoff, flooding and erosion; and reduced energy costs, to name a few.
Since 2007, we have come a long way towards reaching our goal of planting one million trees, and we are confident that we will get there.
We invite you to join us this spring to plant trees at the parks listed below.
Please register as an INDIVIDUAL or GROUP LEADER (if you are planning on inviting a group) for one of the following city park reforestation sites.
Please note that children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Groups of children must be accompanied by adults, maintaining a 1:5 ratio of adults to children (for example, two adults must lead a group of ten children).
