Rain or shine

In the event of heavy rain or extreme weather, Street Games may be cancelled. The decision to cancel the event will be made by 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2015 and will be prominently posted on NYC Parks' website and social media pages.

On Saturday, April 25, 2015, NYC Parks and the Walt Disney Company will host the 8th Annual Street Games at Thomas Jefferson Park in Harlem!

Street Games re-introduces classic, low-tech games played in the city to a new generation of kids. The event is open to all ages and abilities.

  • Double-Dutch
  • Hopscotch
  • Hippity Hop
  • Skully
  • Four Square
  • Yo-Yos
  • Handball
  • Soap Box Race – located behind the main stage!
  • Learn To Ride Your Bike (must bring your own bike)
  • Street Hockey
  • Skateboarding Clinics
  • Jumbo Games
  • Relay Races
  • New York Red Bulls Skills Challenge
  • Ultimate Disc
  • Roller Blading
  • Fitness Agility Ladder
  • Wheelchair Basketball


Street Games is also more than just games! Local radio stations will be spinning music all day and there will be live music and entertainment, including several performances by the Dance Theater of Harlem.
