Bronx Zoo Wetlands
There are many freshwater wetlands in the Bronx Zoo. Of the depressional wetlands, some have been constructed to provide exhibit space, but others existed historically, though they now are home to zoo animals or have been modified to better tolerate animal use and stormwater runoff.
