Celebrating the 50th and 75th Anniversaries of the World's Fair

1964 World's Fair

In 1939-40 and again in 1964-65, the World’s Fair brought millions of visitors to Flushing Meadows Corona Park, transforming a sleepy salt marsh and dumping ground into an internationally renowned park. Join us on these tours, exhibitions and anniversary celebrations to take a look back at the culture and history of the World's Fairs in the city and its influence on the diversity of Flushing Meadows Corona Park today.
