Heavy ice and snow can cause hazardous conditions in parks, including falling branches and treacherous frozen park paths. NYC Parks advises New Yorkers to avoid using parks until Wednesday morning, when we will provide an update on park conditions.

Urban Park Rangers specialize in interpretation of historic turning points, both natural and man-made, in our city’s long history.  Revolutionary New York programs are walking tours focusing on the history of New York during the pre- and post-Colonial Period.  The Battle of Pell’s Point occurred on October 18, 1776, today it is commemorated at Glover’s Rock.
