Heavy ice and snow can cause hazardous conditions in parks, including falling branches and treacherous frozen park paths. Spring Flora and Invasive Species Removal at Alley Pond Park

This trip will highlight the changing forest of Alley Pond Park from both natural succession and the influence of invasive species.

The park has a number of spring ephemerals and some interesting bryophytes. During this trip we will remove several invasive species as we hike so bring gloves and pruning shears if you wish to help out.
