Bronx native Daniel Hauben's exhibition Urban Oasis: 30 Years Painting Bronx Parks debuted at the Poe Park Visitor Center in celebration of the Bronx Centennial and will be on display through May 31. The exhibition features paintings of Van Cortlandt Park, the Bronx Zoo, the New York Botanical Garden, Pelham Bay Park, St. James Park, and other parks in the Bronx, in geclée prints and original oil and pastel. Hauben's artwork has been displayed in the White House, the Museum of the City of New York, the New York Public Library, the New York Historical Society, Harvard University, the Villa Haiss Museum, and numerous other public and private collections.
