Due to the winter storm, NYC Parks are currently closed, effective until further notice. Closures include all parks and recreation centers.

NYC Parks will be evaluating city parks this morning. we expect to open them this afternoon and will be able to make that decision later this morning.

National Girls and Women in Sports Day in Queens

Join us for National Girls and Women in Sports Day, an annual event honoring female athletes! To celebrate, NYC Parks has free events in all five boroughs.  

Activities in Queens include:

  • Soccer clinic with Queens College
  • Zumba class
  • Wallyball game play
  • Double dutch with Stan's Pepper Steppers
  • Martial arts instruction
  • Cheerleading demo
  • Guest speakers
  • Giveaways

Register by 11:30 a.m. to receive a free t-shirt!  Girls are welcome at this family-friendly event.
