Important Winter Storm-Related Service Changes

New York City parks are now open. We continue to urge caution in parks under wintry conditions: parks paths can be slippery, snow cover can cover frozen lakes and bodies of water, and branches may have fallen. If you see a fallen branch call 311.

Some recreation centers will open from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. today with limited staffing.

Celebrate Lunar New Year: 15th New Year Firecracker Ceremony & Cultural Festival

Come out and celebrate the year of the horse!

Kick off the 2014 Lunar New Year at the ceremony which will feature 1,000,000 rounds of colorful firecrackers! It is a traditional Lunar New Year practice believed to scare away evil spirits. 

There will be dragon, lion and unicorn dancing, music, food and more!
