Important Winter Storm-Related Service Changes

New York City parks are now open. We continue to urge caution in parks under wintry conditions: parks paths can be slippery, snow cover can cover frozen lakes and bodies of water, and branches may have fallen. If you see a fallen branch call 311.

Some recreation centers will open from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. today with limited staffing.

Pelham Bay Park: Turtle Cove, Tree Planting

Volunteer with Natural Areas Volunteers (NAV) at Pelham Bay Park to help plant trees at a MillionTrees NYC planting site. Volunteers will be trained in proper planting techniques. Come dresses in sturdy boots or shoes, long pants and clothing that can get dirty. Please meet you NAV Tech Lead at the Rodman’s Neck parking lot near the ballfields, off of City Island Road.

Space is limited. Registration is required for this event.
