Interested in leading your own tree-care workshop? Attend a Care Captain training to learn how to teach your neighbors all about tree care.

Care Captain trainings empower enthusiastic tree stewards to offer tree-care workshops to their neighbors and friends. You will learn all the steps to organizing communities, coordinating events, running workshops, caring for seasonally specific trees, and gaining an in-depth understanding of the MillionTreesNYC initiative.

Who can attend? New Yorkers who are interested in leading a local tree stewardship and are willing to commit to planning a community tree-care event, engaging at least 10 community members, and caring for at least 10 trees.

Our Care Captain program is a good fit for representatives of block associations, classrooms, neighborhood groups or other civic organizations.

Registration is required.
