Important Winter Storm-Related Service Changes

New York City parks are now open. We continue to urge caution in parks under wintry conditions: parks paths can be slippery, snow cover can cover frozen lakes and bodies of water, and branches may have fallen. If you see a fallen branch call 311.

Some recreation centers will open from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. today with limited staffing.

Creatures of the Night

As we begin to prepare for Halloween, view live animal demonstrations of local species that inhabit the dark. From owls to opossums, learn about the amazing adaptations creatures posses to roam the nighttime.This program will include five live animals and an educator from the Tenafly Nature Center. Also, while you are here, check out the time of day puzzle exhibit and learn about nocturnal, diurnal, and crepuscular Greenbelt animals. This program is suitable for participants ages 6 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
