NYC Parks urges caution during the snow storm predicted for Monday afternoon through Tuesday evening. Heavy ice and snow can cause hazardous conditions in parks, including falling branches and treacherous frozen park paths. NYC Parks advises New Yorkers to avoid using parks until Wednesday morning, when we will provide an update on park conditions.

Want to get more fresh and healthy vegetables? If you've ever seen your collard green plants last through the winter, surrounded by snow, you know it's possible! Come to this workshop to learn about ways to lengthen your gardening season with fall and winter crops. We'll discuss what to plant and when to plant it in order to guarantee a harvest that lasts into the cold, wintry months. You will learn of techniques like row covers, low tunnels, and greenhouses.

Please RSVP for this workshop.

Registered Grow to Learn gardens only will be eligible to take 15 seven-foot pieces of galvanized wire and 60 feet of row cover to make low tunnels, while supplies last.  Please be prepared to take these supplies with you after the workshop.
