Important Winter Storm-Related Service Changes

New York City parks are now open. We continue to urge caution in parks under wintry conditions: parks paths can be slippery, snow cover can cover frozen lakes and bodies of water, and branches may have fallen. If you see a fallen branch call 311.

Some recreation centers will open from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. today with limited staffing.

Come see outstanding vegetables, unique herbs, fruit, gazebos, hoop houses, grape arbors, ponds, and more in this sampling of Harlem’s Community Gardens. The tour will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a sumptuous breakfast on West 122nd Street at the JD Wilson Memorial garden. Thanks to the NYC Parks Department, a bus will transport folks (who aren’t walking or bicycling) on the tour. The grand finale will again take place at the William A. Harris Garden with a delicious, traditional Harlem barbeque.
