Heavy ice and snow can cause hazardous conditions in parks, including falling branches and treacherous frozen park paths. NYC Parks advises New Yorkers to avoid using parks until Wednesday morning, when we will provide an update on park conditions.

Lost Ladybugs at High Rock Park

Some species of ladybugs, including the official insect of New York State seem to be vanishing.  Learn how to identify ladybugs and become part of a citizen science program to help Cornell University scientists track ladybugs. Bring your digital camera. Suitable for children age 7 and up.
