Originally built in 1934, the High Line played a critical role in carrying farm-fresh foods to the growing metropolis.
During this walking tour, Sonya Kharas, of the NYU Food Studies Program, will reveal how food is at the center of the High Line’s history, and lead the group in an engaging discussion of the High Line’s changing role in the City’s food system.
This High Line Program is open to visitors of all ages.
