Important Winter Storm-Related Service Changes

New York City parks are now open. We continue to urge caution in parks under wintry conditions: parks paths can be slippery, snow cover can cover frozen lakes and bodies of water, and branches may have fallen. If you see a fallen branch call 311.

Some recreation centers will open from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. today with limited staffing.

For more information, please visit our Storm Update page.

By becoming a NAVigator, you can help young trees grow into healthy forests. NAVigators are needed to help weed and monitor new reforestation plantings, and will be trained in invasive weed identification and removal techniques. NAVigators must attend 3 training sessions and commit to volunteer 12 hours over the summer in weeding reforestation sites. All training and tools are provided by NYC Parks.

Come dressed in sturdy boots or shoes, long pants and clothing that can get dirty. Please meet your NAV Tech lead at Gerritsen Avenue & Channel Avenue. Space is limited. Registration Is Required For This Event.
