NYC Parks urges caution during the snow storm predicted for Monday afternoon through Tuesday evening. Heavy ice and snow can cause hazardous conditions in parks, including falling branches and treacherous frozen park paths. NYC Parks advises New Yorkers to avoid using parks until Wednesday morning, when we will provide an update on park conditions.

The Conservancy collects over 5 million pounds of trash from the Park each year. Celebrate Earth Month and learn how you can reduce your impact on the planet to the beat of instruments made from trash with Bash the Trash! Be sure to bring your granola bar wrappers and turn your trash into treasure with TerraCycle as they are woven into a picnic blanket! One lucky participant will get to take it home and use it in the Park!
