The settlement of West Farms village by the English, one of the first such in the Bronx, marked the beginning of a colonial era in the borough that would last for almost 120 years. From the American Revolution to the Civil War, the village of West Farms was involved in many major developments in American history.
BCHS Educator Angel Hernandez will begin the tour at the West Farms Square #2 and #5 elevated train station, street level, on the northeast corner. The tours generally run for 90 minutes.
