Join us Sunday, April 21 in Central Park for City Parks Foundation’s annual Run for the Parks! Presented in partnership with New York Road Runners, this 4 mile, NYC Marathon qualifier race is one of the largest single day running events in Central Park.  Proceeds help CPF present free, high-quality sports and fitness programs in parks across the city.

Bring the whole family! The 4-mile race starts at 8am, and the Kids Race follows at 9am. Afterwards, be sure to swing by the post-race festival at the Naumberg Bandshell to take in the awards ceremony and enter for a chance to win great prizes!

City Parks Foundation brings free sports and fitness instruction to more than 12,000 boys and girls ages 5–16 in parks throughout the city. CPF provides free equipment and instruction for tennis, golf, and track & field programs all summer long. City Parks Foundation sports instructional programs emphasize learning the basics of a given sport that can be played for life, and developing self-esteem, discipline, and sportsmanship.
