Important Winter Storm-Related Service Changes

New York City parks are now open. We continue to urge caution in parks under wintry conditions: parks paths can be slippery, snow cover can cover frozen lakes and bodies of water, and branches may have fallen. If you see a fallen branch call 311.

Some recreation centers will open from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. today with limited staffing.

The 7th Annual St. George Day Festival is an arts and Earth Day festival celebrating our community and dragons.

Celebrate the arts of the North Shore as well as the Earth at this unique festival, featuring a giant dragon parade, puppet show, three jam-packed stages of live entertainment, kids crafts, art vendors, recycling games, henna tattoos and a book fair.

The St. George Day Festival is Staten Island's largest Earth Day event, with exhibits, demonstrations and participatory activities to encourage people to think about our natural resources and environmental sustainability. The event will include a free store (so bring your old give-aways) as well as electronics recycling (don't forget those old computers and such). The festival is an exciting event that brings people together to experience culture, diversity, art, and community all while having fun with dragons.
