Hattie Carthan Volunteer Recruitment Drive / Rebuilding from Sandy Community Workday

The Hattie Carthan community garden welcomes you to join us as we embark on rebuilding from Sandy. Our workday goal is to rebuild our damaged greenhouse, construct a large market canopy, retouch our clay oven with fresh clay and perform general maintenance in the garden and market areas. Come, meet our community gardeners,urban farm community, other community residents, tell us how you would like to be involved in our grassroots work of building community from the ground up,get information about our events and programs in the community, gain a skill, pitch in! If you believe that reclaiming our hands and building skills are important to community resilience, please show up and get dirty with us as we work to create a healthy community! Power drills,battery packs and simple hand tools are welcome!

*Please dress warm and wear close fronted shoes. Healthy beverages, fruit, water & gloves provided. Please bring your own beverage containers.
