If you are interested in learning about the science behind composting, join the Gowanus Canal Conservancy for a day of environmental clean-up and education!
Gowanus Canal Conservancy will be receiving a shipment of 7,000-8,000 lbs of food-scraps that will be incorporated into layers of wood chips, sawdust, and yard waste to create compost. Please wear closed toed shoes and dress for gardening activities.
