Explore the cliffs along the Palisades. Once known as “Millionaires’ Row”, the tumbled remains of a dozen or so estates line a lonely precipice more than 400 feet above the Hudson River. Historic Interpreter Eric Nelsen and Trail Crew Supervisor and Educator Christina Fehre of the Palisades Interstate Park–NJ Section recount the fascinating cultural history of the Palisades and the wealthy families that left behind their stately manor homes and ornate gardens, now almost reclaimed by the forest.
