Heavy ice and snow can cause hazardous conditions in parks, including falling branches and treacherous frozen park paths. NYC Parks advises New Yorkers to avoid using parks until Wednesday morning, when we will provide an update on park conditions.

I Heart Worms for Kids

Did you know that worms have five pairs of hearts?  This unique hands-on workshop introduces kids (ages 5 and up, accompanied by an adult) to the life of indoor composting (red wiggler) worms!  Featured activity includes making heart-shaped compost cookies for your plants.  Be prepared to get your hands dirty!  Registration is required and workshop fee is $5/child.  (718) 539-5296 or to register.
