Important Winter Storm-Related Service Changes

New York City parks are now open. We continue to urge caution in parks under wintry conditions: parks paths can be slippery, snow cover can cover frozen lakes and bodies of water, and branches may have fallen. If you see a fallen branch call 311.

Some recreation centers will open from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. today with limited staffing.

Alley Pond Park Tree Care for Young Trees

Please note: This event has already taken place. Please use the Search options on the right to find upcoming events.

Come out and join the Natural Areas Volunteers (NAV) at Alley Pond Park to care for newly planted trees. This work will help restore the ecosystem. Stewards will be trained in tree stewardship, invasive weeds identification and removal techniques. 

Please come dressed in closed toe shoes,long pants, and clothing that can get dirty.  Space is limited, and registration is required.
