Join Arts, Culture & Fun for a film screening of Soul Food Junkies by Byron Hurt, a PBS series Independent Lens at the Jackie Robinson Recreation Center.
Soul food lies at the heart of African American cultural identity. The black community's love affair with sould food is deep-rooted, complex and in some cases, deadly. Soul Food Junkies puts this culinary tradition under the mircoscope to examine both its significance and it's consequences. There will be a brief Q&A afterwards.
