Author Peter Benjaminson will facilitate a presentation about the life and career of Mary Wells, her struggles to survive, to achieve happiness, to break away from the Motown Record Company, and to recover from that transition.  His presentation will be aided by DVDs and audio recordings of Mary Wells' performances, as well as portions of a four-hour deathbed interview that forms the basis of his new book.

Benjaminson is a Harlem resident, Motown enthusiast and  author of "The Story of Motown" and "The Lost Supreme: The Life of Dreamgirl Florence Ballard."
