Please note: This event has already taken place. Please use the Search options on the right to find upcoming events.

Natural Areas Volunteers is looking for dedicated volunteers to help weed and monitor new tree plantings. We are looking for individuals to add to our core groups of stewards who adopt reforestation sites in their local borough. New York City is the home to 10,000 acres of natural areas which not only diversifies our urban environment but benefits our communities in ways such as improved air quality and increased recreational space. Volunteer stewards will be trained in invasive weed identification and removal techniques.

Join your Technical Leaders at 9 A.M. at the Northeast corner of the Orchard Beach Parking lot. Please come dressed in closed-toe shoes, long pants and clothing that can get dirty. Space is limited.

Registration is required at this event.
