The Alliance for Downtown New York is holding its annual kid-friendly Fall Community Planting Day on Saturday, October 20 at Bowling Green Park. We provide the tools, the activities and much, much more. This is a wonderful opportunity to volunteer while meeting your neighbors and other Lower Manhattan employees, visitors and organizations. This year, there will be facepainting, ballonmaking, pumpkin decorating and more for kids, and free refreshments provided by Whole Foods in Tribeca. The event is cosponsored by Con Edison, the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation, Community Board 1, Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Door LLP, Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer, the FiDi Association, Grow NYC and Whole Foods.
