Open House New York: The Arsenal

Built to house munitions for the NYS National Guard, the Arsenal resembles a fortress with its crenellated cornice and rooftop turrets. Now NYC Parks headquarters, the building has served as a police station, zoo, weather station and the first American Museum of Natural History.
