The annual event celebrates the Chinese Festival of the Autumn Moon when the full moon is at its fullest and brightest. The celebration dates back to at least 2000 BC. This year the event will also recognize other Asian harvest festivals such as Japan’s Fukushima Autumn, Thailand’s Loy Krathong Festival and Vietnam’s Tet Trung Thu. The festivities are scheduled from 4 pm to 8 pm on the Snug Harbor campus at 1000 Richmond Terrace. Admission is $10 for adults and $6 for seniors and students. Children five and under are admitted free.
