Come join Natural Areas volunteers in restoring habitat along the Bronx River Estuary. Volunteers will wear waders to carry out buckets of oysters to place in the river. These oysters will help improve the water quality of the river as well as increase habitat along the river. Come volunteer and experience what is like to walk in waist deep water scattering oyster shells along the Bronx River. Ferdie from the Natural Resources Group (NRG) would like to do an educational session with the volunteer group on a date prior to the project if possible. This project is for Adults only (18 years old and up)and we need a group of 5-10 volunteers. We will need their shoe size as well. Waders will be provided. Please contact us at NAV@parks.nyc.gov to register.
