Football season is quickly approaching? Are you ready to play some football? Boys and girls are invited to come out and learn the fundamentals of flag football. This program will give kids ages 8—11 and 12—14 the opportunity to understand the rules of flag football, learn how to run, catch and throw a football. In addition, the participants will learn team defense and offense and most importantly sportsmanship. Helps kids build up their self-esteem and confidence through a competitive environment. Through consistent practices, participants will have the opportunity to enhance their skill level and have the opportunity to become a part of the St. Mary’s Recreation Center 8 – 11 and 12 -14 Flag Football team. Children and youth are required to wear athletic wear to each practice.
This is a free program for children who must be a registered member of a NYC Parks Recreation Center. Membership is free.
