NYRP’s Harvest Festival is a great opportunity for our gardeners and community members to come together and celebrate the season! The schedule of activities is as follows:

2:00 p.m.: Festivities begin and continue through the afternoon: Butter making with Organic Valley farmers, candy apples, small pumpkin decorating, seed giveaway, live bird demonstrations and more! Hiking tours of Sherman Creek Park will take place throughout the afternoon.

2:30 p.m.: Workshop: “Bring the Green Indoors” – Learn how to plant indoors

3:00 p.m.: NYRP Distinguished Community Member Awards presentation

3:30 p.m.: Workshop: “Plant the Future” - Learn how to save your seeds between seasons

4:00 p.m.: Musical performance by Bombayo
Jack-o-Lantern Carving Contest begins
Workshop: “Keep Your Garden Warm this Winter” – Learn simple cover cropping techniques

5:00 p.m.: Workshop: “Turn Your Food Waste Into Black Gold” – Learn how composting works and can work for you

5:45 p.m.: Contest Awards presented
