Step back in time for an evening on a guided tour of Van Cortlandt House decorated in festive 18th century finery. The tours and decorations feature celebrations familiar to Colonial-era New Yorkers: Saint Nicholas' Day, Christmas Day, New Year's first-footing, and Twelfth Night. To enhance the experience, the house will be brought to life with period music, historically attired interpreters, and soft glow of candlelight. Live violin and harpsichord music will be featured as performed by The Ministers of Apollo an 18th century ensemble.
Guided tours are led every 20 minute between 4:00 p.m. and 6:40 p.m. After your tour enjoy a cup of holiday cheer and cookies around our campfire (weather permitting).
Reservations are suggested, call or e-mail Van Cortlandt House to make reservations.
