Join Mike Feller, Parks & Recreation's Chief Naturalist, for autumn nature walks through Inwood Hill Park. Inwood is home to Manhattan's last forest and only remaining salt marsh. It's an ideal spot, especially during migrations, to see many species of animals, insects and birds, including the occassional bald eagle.
Bring binoculars and a field guide if you wish. Wear comfortable shoes.
Persons with mobility issues may find some of the steep paths difficult to negotiate.
(The 2010 Inwood Nature Walks series ends on November 13.)
