Join volunteers from the Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC) in a construction project to protect the Siwanoy hiking trail in Pelham Bay Park, This coastal trail skirts the western edge of the lagoon behind the Bartow Pell Mansion and crosses a popular bridle path. To keep equestrians and hikers safely separated, volunteers are needed to help erect a stile at the intersection of the bridle path and the Siwanoy Trail. Volunteers should plan to meet at the parking lot of the Mansion. Participants should wear comfortable work clothes, and bring lunch and water. AMC and Parks will supply tools.
