Join us Wednesday, August 11th for Summerscreen, a free outdoor movie series in McCarren Park, brought to you by The L Magazine. This week, we'll be watching academy award winner Kathryn Bigelow’s visual masterpiece Point Break, starring the surprisingly not-nominated Keanu Reeves and late Patrick Swayze. We'll be set up on the corner of N. 12th and Bedford, near the tennis courts. There will be plenty of food and drinks from your favorite local vendors like Pizza Moto, Asia Dog, Sixpoint Ales, San Loco, and more. Gates open at 6 p.m., and we kick off the evening at 6:15 with free performances by bands Hank & Cupcakes and Noun. Be sure to get there before dusk--the movie starts as soon as the sun goes down.
