Stargazing returns to Fort Tryon Park in 2010 with the "First Light" Soiree - we're celebrating the debut of our Obsession 15 UC telescope. The Obsession will be one of the largest amateur scopes available for free use by the public in the five boroughs.

Join Jason Kendall, Director of the Inwood Astronomy Project, for a fascinating evening of star and planet gazing and try out the newest addition to our arsenal of scopes available for your use.

Special musical performance by Donna Stearns and The Big Bangers singing their hit song "Up, Up, Up in the Sky," an official International Year of Astronomy song.

Free NASA posters and materials to take home.

Limited accessibility due to stairs.

 *  All astronomy programs are clear-sky dependent. Please call the Astronomy Hotline at  (917) 529-2359 to confirm favorable weather conditions.
