Take Workforce Classes
Computers have become an important part of so many jobs, like teachers, nurses, drivers, store clerks, and even food service workers. While students in the CRC can use many of the skills from other CRC classes, “Workforce Development” courses cover the key computer programs and tools for job-seekers looking to improve their resumes, skills, and job opportunities. Advanced courses provide specialized instruction for students seeking to enter specific fields of work such as law or business. Examples of some introductory classes are:
- WF050a Job Search
- WF101 Intro to Windows 7/Microsoft Office 2010
- WF202 Interm Microsoft Excel 2010
- WF302 Adv Microsoft Word 2010
Digital Work NYC offers young adults (ages 16-26) free certification training and an opportunity to “earn while you learn!” During 10 weeks, develop your skills in Microsoft Office 2010 or Adobe CS6 to become either a Microsoft Office Specialist or an Adobe Certified Associate, respectively. This is an opportunity to broaden your horizons and to become a leader in your community for FREE!
