Tai Chi and Chi Kung are martial arts disciplines known for reducing stress and relaxing the body.  Tai Chi, a Chinese art that uses a system of fluid movements, is often practiced slowly, concentrating on the flow of internal energy.  Chi Kung, which exercises the whole body to developed outer and inner strength, is considered to be a powerful tool of healing in traditional Chinese medicine.

Take a Sunday morning Tai Chi class in the picturesque Greenbelt Nature Center overlooking scenic woodlands. Classes are pay-as-you go, and 10-week pre-paid passes are available. Classes are run year-round but can be cancelled due to extreme weather and some holidays.
