These exercises use muscle control, breathing techniques, imagery and postural alignment to strengthen the entire body. The beginning Pilates Mat class is a thoughtful, non-threatening approach to these exercises and other movement. There is an emphasis on range of motion, as well as intensive work on abdominal muscles.
